Our Story
Hand-poured with intention. Made in Australia.
Lekker Creations began the way most meaningful things do — quietly, in our garage, with a pour jug and a purpose.
I'm Sherize, the maker behind every candle. What started as a personal search for a cleaner, calmer home fragrance became something I couldn't stop making — or sharing. Each candle is hand-poured in small batches, using only natural soy wax, fine fragrance oils, and sustainably sourced materials.
Lekker is an Afrikaans word meaning "good, pleasant, lovely" — and that's exactly the feeling I want every candle to bring into your home.
The Craft
There are no shortcuts in small-batch candle making, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Every Lekker candle is made by hand, one pour at a time. I use 100% natural soy wax — a renewable, biodegradable alternative to paraffin — which burns cleaner, longer, and more evenly. Our signature wood wicks are sustainably sourced and create that soft, gentle crackle that turns any room into a sanctuary.
Fragrance is tested across multiple burns, and only approved when the scent throw, cold and hot, meets the standard I'd want in my own home. No shortcuts. No compromise.
Natural Ingredients & Sustainable Packaging
What goes into a Lekker candle matters as much as what comes out of it.
- 100% natural soy wax — renewable, biodegradable, and cleaner-burning than paraffin
- Recyclable and minimal packaging — because beautiful things shouldn't cost the earth
Australian-Made, Small-Batch
Lekker Creations is proudly Australian-made — designed, blended, poured, and packed in Melbourne.
Small-batch production means every candle receives the attention it deserves. There are no production lines here. Each vessel is hand-filled, each wick is hand-set, and each label is applied by hand before it leaves the studio. When you light a Lekker candle, you're holding something made with genuine care.
Made for Your Everyday
A Lekker candle isn't a special-occasion luxury — it's an everyday one. A small ritual that signals the start of something slower: a bath, a book, a quiet evening. That's the intention behind every pour.
Thank you for being here.
